At Mercy's Gate, we often encounter individuals in crisis situations such as car accidents, unexpected diagnoses, life changes like death or divorce, or sudden job loss. These situations cause our neighbors immense pain, and we acknowledge the trust they place in us when they seek our assistance.
We strive to provide a listening ear, empathy, and practical help to alleviate their struggles. Additionally, our advocates offer to pray with them, recognizing the power of a genuine and heartfelt prayer in lifting burdens and combating the falsehood of isolation. Such prayers remind our neighbors that they are not alone in their struggles and point them toward the ultimate source of hope and healing, Jesus Christ.
It should be noted that Mercy’s Gate does not make it mandatory to pray in order to receive assistance from us. We always offer the opportunity to do so, and this gesture is often gratefully received.
