Mercy's Gate understands the challenges our neighbors face and provides relief through our director services for those struggling in El Paso County. Sadly, 40% of residents in the county live paycheck to paycheck and fall short of their monthly budget by an average of $1000 due to the effects of inflation, high cost of living, and low wages. We recognize that poverty is defined by a lack of resources in various areas, such as finances, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, support systems, education, and career opportunities. If this is your situation, please know we are here to serve you.
“In a time when I was lost and scared in a foreign state and town, they were there to give me hope and help me find out who Jesus really is. I thank them so much, and I know I’ll never be able to show how grateful I am through words, but I hope they all know they saved my life that day.”

“So much respect for Mercy’s Gate. They helped me in my greatest time of need. Thanks to them, I was able to keep my electricity on. They provided me with food, and they helped me pay my rent during financial hardship. So much love and compassion for the community. Thank you so much for all you did for me and my son. As a single mother, it’s very tough being on your own. But I’m grateful for people like this.”

“I had been out of work for four years and could no longer donate plasma. My husband’s job hours decreased, and we were behind on utilities. I had a job interview and got the position thanks to all your prayers. We appreciate all the help Mercy’s Gate provided in our time of need. Now that I have the job, it will help us stay up to date on our bills. Thank you again.”
